In recent weeks, Caldera has made three noteworthy moves: First, it integrated EigenDA V2 with EigenCloud, with official data indicating a throughput capacity of 100MB/s. The number itself is not the focus; the key point is that it conveys a message: Caldera wants Rollup to be not just 'cheap,' but to achieve stable and predictable performance. In practical applications, developers care more about latency and stability rather than peak performance.
Second, it collaborated with Mawari to put the core metrics of XR (extended reality) streaming on-chain, such as latency, jitter, and frame drop rate. The significance of this step is that experience metrics are no longer based on subjective descriptions but are directly written into an on-chain reputation system and linked to node rewards. In other words, if a certain XR application runs on Caldera's chain in the future, its user experience can be quantified and traced.
Third, it launched the ERA Force One community system, granting 'ranks' based on holdings and staking amounts. This is actually a form of user tiering design, which can enhance community engagement and provide more efficient communication channels for developers and core holders.
Caldera is not competing on TPS but is emphasizing determinism, transparency, and experience measurability. This is especially important for future application parties, as the ability to predict costs and stability when applications scale up is key to determining whether they choose a particular chain.
