From $40 to $5,000? Arthur Hayes paints a shocking future for the token

Hyperliquid

The Hyperliquid (HYPE) token witnessed a sudden surge in trading on Monday, rising nearly 9% to $47.4 before stabilizing around $45, achieving a daily gain of 2.1% despite the overall downturn in the cryptocurrency market.

This rise followed provocative statements by the former CEO of BitMex, Arthur Hayes, during the WebX 2025 conference in Tokyo, where he predicted that the price of HYPE could soar more than 126 times to exceed $5,000 within three years.

Hayes clarified that these estimates are based on his expectations for the global stablecoin market to expand to $10 trillion by 2028, with Hyperliquid capturing more than a quarter of the trading volume associated with it, potentially raising its annual revenue to $258 billion compared to the current $1.2 billion.

This vision is supported by the platform’s rapid rise, as Hyperliquid captured about 80% of the decentralized perpetual contracts market in less than a year and ranked second among decentralized trading platforms in terms of monthly trading volume with over $17 billion.

Although HYPE has already achieved gains exceeding 300% this year and reached its historical peak at $49.8 in July, fulfilling Hayes's predictions will remain contingent on market volatility and macroeconomic conditions in the coming years$BNB $BTC #HEMIBinanceTGE $ETH
