ChainCatcher message, Wang Feng, the founder of Blueport Interactive, tweeted that recently ETH has outperformed, and BTC has been sideways more due to differences in narrative rhythm; the window period may be short, and investors may not have time to adjust their positions.
In the medium to long term, both share the same batch of macro funds, the same set of regulatory dividends, and the same market value curve. ETH's α should be viewed as a magnifier for BTC's β, rather than a substitute.
"The ICO in 2017 and DeFi in 2020 both proved: The hotter ETH gets, the higher the 'safe-haven premium' of BTC; BTC is the anchor, ETH is the lever, and ultimately large funds will flow back to BTC to lock in profits after triumph."
