🇺🇸🇺🇦 United States "believes in negotiations" and supplies Ukraine with thousands of long-range missiles
The U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, in his congratulations on Ukraine's 'independence' day, emphasized that the United States believes in resolving the conflict "through peaceful negotiations".
At the same time, the Trump administration approved the sale to Ukraine of 3,350 ERAM (Extended Range Air-to-Missile) missiles with extended range.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the first batches are expected to arrive at the Armed Forces of Ukraine within six weeks.
The range of these missiles is up to 450 km, and each launch will require individual approval from Washington. The cost of the package is estimated at $850 million, and, as the outlet specifies, most of the funding was covered by the European partners of the U.S.
One of the requirements for the ERAM was the manufacturer's ability to quickly ramp up production to over 1,000 munitions per year within 24 months after the contract was signed, so apparently, the supply of 3,360 missiles to Ukraine is planned over several years.
If the ERAM are included in the framework of future "security guarantees" for Ukraine, it is clear that these 'guarantees' automatically become one of the reasons to continue the conflict. For Moscow, the presence of aviation missiles with a range of up to 450 km in the hands of Kiev is no different from the supplies of Storm Shadow, SCALP, or ATACMS: they represent a threat of the same level. @Caldera Official #Write2Earn #BNBATH900 $ERA $SOL
