The Ethereum-based gaming network XAI has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk's xAI artificial intelligence company, accusing it of trademark infringement and unfair competition.

🔹 According to documents submitted to the federal court in California, Musk's project launch caused widespread confusion among users regarding the relationship between the two companies.

🔹 The Ex Populus gaming protocol, which is the main developer of XAI, clarified that it has been using this name since June 2023, while Musk announced his company a month later.

🔹 The lawsuit included evidence from social media and the Binance forum, where users had to explain the differences between the two projects, highlighting the extent of the confusion.

🔹 The damage, according to XAI, has surpassed the commercial reputation to include a negative reaction from consumers due to the name's association with the controversy surrounding Musk.

XAI is also seeking to prevent Musk from using the name, along with financial compensation for the infringement. It is worth noting that the US Trademark Office has already suspended some registration requests from xAI.
