#bitcoin ⁉️Can $BTC exist without altcoins?⁉️ Bitcoin can exist without altcoins, but altcoins without Bitcoin are much more complicated. Let's take a closer look: ➡️ Bitcoin without altcoins • Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that gave life to the entire industry. It has the largest decentralized network, the highest security, and the strongest brand. • If hypothetically all altcoins disappeared tomorrow, Bitcoin would continue to work: blocks would be mined, transactions would be confirmed, and its function as “digital gold” would remain. • Perhaps its position would even strengthen, because capital and users would flow precisely into BTC. ➡️ Altcoins without Bitcoin • Most altcoins are oriented towards Bitcoin as a “base asset”. On exchanges, many altcoins were initially listed in pairs against BTC (and not against the dollar). • Bitcoin creates a foundation for trust: it proved that blockchain technology works.
