Check Trade Validation ❓ Is your original trade idea still valid (trend direction, pattern, breakout)? ✅ Still valid → Keep position, no major change. ❌ Invalidated → Close or reduce position immediately. 3. Check Profit Progress ❓ Has price moved at least +1R (your risk) in your favor? ✅ Yes → Move SL to break-even or trail SL to secure gains. ❌ No → Keep SL where it is, don’t move against yourself. 4. Check Volatility / Market Events ❓ Is there upcoming high-impact news (Fed, CPI, crypto updates, earnings, ETF approvals)? ✅ Yes → Reduce size, tighten SL, or close early. ❌ No → Stay with plan. 5. Check Risk-Reward ❓ Is your TP too far compared to market pace? ✅ Yes → Bring TP closer / take partial profit. ❌ No → Keep original TP. 6. Check Time Factor ❓ Has the trade gone sideways too long (no progress for X hours/days)? ✅ Yes → Close trade or tighten SL (capital efficiency). ❌ No → Keep running. 7. Check Funding & Fees (Crypto Futures Only) ❓ Is funding rate draining profit if held too long? ✅ Yes → Close earlier or scale down. ❌ No → Keep running. ✅ Quick Summary Rules Move SL only in your favor (break-even → profit). Take partial profits at targets (TP1, TP2, TP3). Exit early if setup invalidates or support/resistance breaks. Don’t widen SL out of fear — protect capital first. $XRP
