《Caldera Usage Diary: The Transformation Journey of a Small Development Team》
We are a small development team of only 5 people, and this year we made an important decision: to migrate the entire project to Caldera. We are documenting the sweet and sour experiences of this process to provide reference for teams considering similar transformations.
Week 1: Technical Research
After comparing multiple solutions, the CTO decisively chose Caldera against the opinions of others. What impressed him the most was its "plug-and-play" modular design, allowing us to freely combine components based on business needs. The finance lady was happiest with the cost estimate—saving 80% on Gas fees compared to our current chain.
Week 3: Migration Practice
The actual migration went more smoothly than expected. Caldera's documentation is very comprehensive, and when we encountered issues, responses on Discord were quick. The most troublesome part was data migration, but fortunately, they provided a complete toolchain, and a task that was originally expected to take three days was completed in one.
Week 5: Go Live Observation
User feedback surprised us. The most intuitive result was a 90% reduction in complaint emails, and many people actively mentioned that "it seems to have become smoother." Monitoring data showed that the transaction failure rate dropped from 15% to 0.3%, which directly translated into higher user retention.
Looking back now, all the struggles during the migration process were worthwhile. Although Caldera is not perfect yet (for example, there is indeed a lack of Chinese resources), its flexibility and cost advantages are truly hard to refuse for startup teams. @Caldera Official #Caldera $ERA
