I never thought I would go from being a mere token holder to an ecological participant; it all started with my first on-chain vote on Caldera.
It was a proposal about adjusting transaction fees, and I voted with a try-and-see attitude. To my surprise, a week later I received notification that my opinion was adopted. This feeling of being valued gave me a real sense of 'I am also part of the ecosystem' for the first time.
Later, I began to try contributing code. Although it was just fixing small errors in the documentation, each time a PR was merged, I felt a wonderful sense of accomplishment. The developers in the community were very friendly, never mocking my beginner questions.
Now I run a Chinese user group, organizing online discussions every week. Although it is completely voluntary, seeing more and more Chinese users join the ecosystem is more satisfying than making money.
The most fascinating aspect of blockchain is not how advanced the technology is, but how it allows ordinary people to participate in building it. In Caldera, I found the true value of being an ordinary user.
If you are just a token holder, consider participating more in community activities. You might discover that you can also become a builder of the ecosystem.
