During a Q&A session, Hoskinson remarked that it would be very interesting to work with the XRP community, and revealed that he recently talked with Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple. Additionally, he mentioned that Lace Wallet will be compatible with XRP before the end of the year.
The founder of Cardano also mentioned that he would love to organize a joint event with some members of the XRP community, such as pro-cryptocurrency lawyer John Deaton. Hoskinson also talked about the Midnight airdrop and its success to date.
He revealed that more than 1.6 billion tokens have been redeemed to date, and described the airdrop strategy as an excellent way to integrate with other ecosystems. In addition to ADA holders, BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, AVAX, and BAT holders were also able to participate in the NIGHT airdrop.
The founder of Cardano reiterated that the Midnight airdrop will be one of the largest in history, if not the largest. He also suggested that they may need to collaborate with leaders from these other ecosystems to help drive the Midnight project.
Hoskinson also had to recently respond to comments about the manipulation of the midnight airdrop for insiders. He commented that the airdrop is working incredibly well and that there was no need to spread misinformation.
In a post on X, Deaton responded to the Cardano founder's statement about the possibility of organizing an event with him and other stakeholders from the XRP community. The pro-cryptocurrency lawyer stated that it would be an honor and a pleasure to be present at the event, working with Hoskinson and other leaders in the crypto ecosystem.
Meanwhile, BankXRP, a prominent member of the XRP community, praised Hoskinson's initiative. He stated that collaboration in cryptocurrencies drives innovation, strengthens security, boosts adoption, saves costs, and generates trust. He added that he hopes ADA will be compatible with more wallets.
