In the field of blockchain and cryptographic technology, the security of zero-knowledge proof technology is crucial.

@Succinct , as an important player in the industry, has been committed to enhancing the security and reliability of its core product SP1.

Currently, Succinct is closely collaborating with Veridise, a leader in the field of zero-knowledge security auditing, to conduct formal verification work on SP1.

Formal verification plays a key role in ensuring the mathematical behavior of SP1. Through rigorous mathematical proof, it can be determined whether SP1's performance under various conditions meets expectations, laying a solid foundation for its security.

This work complements @Succinct 's multi-layered SP1 security strategy, similar to the SP1 - 2 FA launched last month, which provides developers with a convenient runtime protection mechanism to effectively prevent the improper actions of malicious provers. Coupled with comprehensive audits and external evaluations, this deterministic check in collaboration with Veridise further ensures that the SP1 circuit can operate exactly as expected, contributing to the creation of a formally verified zkVM with high security in both practice and theory.

Many circuit vulnerabilities, such as missing range checks or insufficiently constrained variables, are difficult to detect during manual reviews but often emerge through uncertainty. If a circuit can produce multiple valid outputs for the same input, it indicates a problem with insufficient constraints. By formalizing the checks for determinism, Succinct can capture these issues early, eliminating subtle vulnerabilities that could affect system reliability, ensuring that each circuit of SP1 operates in a predictable, secure, and verifiable manner.
