@BitlayerLabs The Last Two Articles on Bitlayer's Positioning: Is BTCFi's Infrastructure or an Ecological Dark Horse?

Introduction:

Someone asked me: "Is Bitlayer focused on applications or infrastructure?" I think this is a good question.

The core positioning of Bitlayer is: BTCFi infrastructure. In other words, it aims to build bridges and roads for the entire ecosystem, attracting more applications to run on it.

BitVM Bridge: Solving the fundamental problem of cross-chain;

High-performance Rollup: Accommodating more application possibilities;

Collaborative Expansion: Leveraging multi-chain, mining pools, and exchanges to expand influence.

But the problem is:

Infrastructure has a long cycle, and we must wait for the application ecosystem to mature before it can be recognized by the market;

The revenue model is unclear, how does Bitlayer itself capture value?

It is easily replaceable; if other BTC L2s run applications faster, Bitlayer will be marginalized.

Conclusion: Bitlayer is more like BTCFi's "highway company"; whether it can become an ecological dark horse depends on whether there are indeed vehicles running on it. #Bitlayer
