@BitlayerLabs Series Bitlayer and the Differentiated Competition with Layer2
Introduction:
Now that Layer2 has become so numerous that it's dazzling, how can Bitlayer break through? This is a question I have been pondering recently.
The advantages of Bitlayer are:
Clearly focused on BTCFi, rather than a general-purpose L2;
BitVM Bridge provides it with a differentiated technological foundation;
It has the dual endorsement of capital and mining pools.
But the challenges are equally evident:
Compared to Ethereum L2, the Bitcoin smart contract environment is more limited;
Developer habit issues, many are already in the EVM ecosystem, why would they switch?
Therefore, if @BitlayerLabs is only compared to “general-purpose L2,” the odds are not great. Its true breakthrough lies in whether it can maximize the unique value of BTC (liquidity, store of value, institutional attention).
