From Value Storage to Yield Engine: How BounceBit Revitalizes BTC
While Bitcoin has long been defined as a “non-productive value storage,” BounceBit is breaking this mold with its innovative CeDeFi framework. As a BTC re-staking chain, it allows BTC holders to rely not only on price fluctuations but also to earn stable yields from diverse channels, with $BB being the core hub connecting it all.
The recently spotlighted #BounceBitPrime first treasury product has put this innovation into practice. It uses Franklin Templeton's tokenized money market fund, Benji, as the underlying asset. Users deposit USDT, and the system automatically purchases Benji and injects it into the treasury, allowing them to enjoy the fundamental money market yield while having their assets secured by a compliant custodial institution. Even more cleverly, the strategy layer will use Benji to conduct delta-neutral arbitrage, allowing a single asset to earn dual layers of yield, achieving both stability and flexibility.
The BounceBit chain built by @BounceBit is the technical foundation of all this—an EVM-compatible L2 optimized for BTC re-staking, with a total value locked exceeding $700 million as of August 2025. Its middleware aligned with EigenLayer also achieves cross-network security, making asset transfers more secure. Furthermore, holders of $BB can not only become validators through staking to participate in network consensus for earnings but can also submit proposals and vote on key issues within the #BounceBitPrime ecosystem through a dual-token governance model, truly holding a voice in the ecosystem's development.
Last week, @BounceBit completed the repurchase of 8.87 million BB, supported by an annual protocol revenue of $16 million. This not only showcases the project's value capture ability but also boosts BB holders' confidence in the ecosystem's future. As RWA becomes the new trend in DeFi, BounceBit's collaboration with traditional asset management giants is building a bridge between traditional finance and on-chain innovation, and all of this is just the beginning.
