CHINA BACKS INDIA, SLAMS U.S. 50% TARIFF AS “BULLYING” — ENVOY.

In a major diplomatic twist, Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong has come out strongly against Washington’s decision to impose a 50% tariff on Indian imports, calling it an act of economic bullying.

The envoy declared that China “firmly opposes” the move and will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with India, warning that “silence or compromise only emboldens the bully.”

Xu further emphasized that China and India are the “double engines of Asia” and unity between the two powers is critical to safeguard global trade stability.
