🇵🇭 A bill HB 421 has been proposed in the Philippines to create a strategic reserve of bitcoins: the Central Bank will purchase 2000 BTC annually for five years and hold them for 20 years to diversify financial assets.
ℹ️ If the price of BTC reaches 1 million dollars, then 10,000 BTC will be worth 10 billion dollars. Considering the GDP of the Philippines at 497 billion dollars (according to 2025 data), this would amount to only about 2% of GDP if bitcoins are simply held without being sold.
