NXP's WCT - 15WAUTO13 Achieves Efficient Wireless Charging in Vehicles
As a core supplier of overall wireless charging solutions, NXP has launched the in-vehicle 15W wireless charging solution WCT - 15WAUTO13. This solution is based on the automotive-grade wireless charging transmitter controller MWCT2013AVLH, specifically designed for automotive wireless charging. The MWCT2013AVLH integrates 'Qi' protocol functionality, optimized for the complex operating environment of vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient power transmission. The entire system includes detection, power regulation and transmission, charging control, and other components. In the MP - A13 topology, the PI filter has better EMC performance, making it suitable for high-power wireless charging scenarios in vehicles. This solution supports the latest WPC Qi V2.0 and future version specifications, providing a complete software library in the software aspect, with the WCT library offered in binary format, application programs, and board support packages (BSP) provided in source format, and the WCT library API and WCT hardware abstraction layer (HAL) API source format disclosed. It can support higher transmission power based on customer requirements, up to 40W - 50W, supports fast charging mode for smartphones, and has optimized foreign object detection capabilities, conducting foreign object detection in three stages and two methods to ensure safe system operation. At the same time, it provides the FreeMASTER real-time debugging monitor and data visualization tools for user debugging. This platform uses automotive-grade components, features EMC optimization, safety functions, and compliant software to ensure seamless integration.
