Hong Kong Firm Ming Shing Bets $483M on BTC Treasury Hong Kong construction firm Ming Shing Group Holdings struck a $483 million agreement to acquire 4,250 BTC through share issuance rather than cash payment. The #Nasdaq-listed company plans to issue convertible notes and warrants covering over 402 million shares to complete the transaction. If successful, the deal would make Ming Shing Hong Kong's largest BTC treasury holder, surpassing Buyaa Interactive's 3,350 BTC position. CEO Wenjin Li cited BTC liquidity and appreciation potential as key factors behind the investment decision. The structure could severely dilute existing shareholders, potentially reducing their ownership to just 1.4% if all notes and warrants are exercised. Ming Shing currently has fewer than 13 million shares outstanding but would need shareholder approval to authorize the additional shares required. Ming Shing's stock initially spiked to $2.15 on the announcement before giving back most gains, though it remains up 11.5% on Thursday. The move comes as Hong Kong pushes deeper into crypto with approved spot #ETF products and new regulatory frameworks for digital asset service providers.
