Interesting fact. BlackRock controls nearly 60% of all bitcoins in U.S. spot ETFs
As of August 17, 2025, American spot bitcoin ETFs collectively hold over 1.25 million BTC, which accounts for over 6% of the total supply of the first cryptocurrency. This was reported by analysts from CryptoQuant.
Experts noted that the lion's share of these assets is controlled by the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) from BlackRock, which has accumulated 748,968 BTC. This equals 59.9% of all bitcoins held in American spot ETFs.
