$ALGO
FIFA did not purchase any cryptocurrency, but it did sign a partnership with Algorand (ALGO) in 2022 to develop its digital asset strategy. Algorand became FIFA's official blockchain platform, providing solutions such as a digital wallet and support for events like the Qatar 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Women's World Cup. Following the announcement, the ALGO token rose more than 14% in one day, reaching an approximate price of $0.67. Additionally, in 2025, it was announced that FIFA is working on its own blockchain based on Avalanche (AVAX) for a fan engagement and collectibles ecosystem, although it is not a purchased cryptocurrency, but rather its own infrastructure.
