Former Trump adviser Kash Patel said in a TV interview on Wednesday that the FBI had no legal reason to search Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on August 8, 2022. Patel claimed agents “colluded to make fake evidence,” but he did not show proof.
The FBI search, approved by a federal judge, found more than 11,000 government records, including some marked classified. Trump was later charged with 40 felony counts for keeping national security documents and obstructing the investigation. He has pleaded not guilty. The Justice Department says the warrant was obtained and carried out legally.
