《Written on the First Anniversary of the Caldera Mainnet Launch: Some Genuine Feelings》

Today marks the first anniversary of the Caldera mainnet launch. As an old user who has been using it since the testnet, I want to share some thoughts.

I remember when I first got involved, I was quite skeptical. With so many Layer 2 projects, why would this newcomer succeed? On the day I first deployed the test chain, I specifically took a day off to tinker at home, and it took me less than an hour from setting up the environment to launching the chain—this is almost a miracle compared to the blockchain projects I have used.

What impressed me the most was their community atmosphere. In other projects' groups, my questions often went unanswered for days. But in Caldera's Discord, no matter how basic the question, there’s always a passionate developer patiently answering. Once, at two in the morning, I asked a cross-chain question in the group, and to my surprise, the founder personally responded and even shared a link to the technical documentation.

Over this past year, I've watched them grow step by step: from initially only supporting Ethereum to now being able to connect multiple mainstream chains; from simple chain deployment to a complete ecosystem toolkit. Although there have been a few instances of network congestion, the team always promptly explained the situation, and this level of transparency is rare in the industry.

To be honest, checking on-chain data has become a habit for me now. Watching the trading volume steadily increase and new projects continuously join gives me a sense of watching a child grow up. Although prices go up and down, this sense of participation and belonging is probably what attracts me most to blockchain.

Looking forward to the next anniversary, I believe Caldera will bring more surprises.
