Trump makes outrageous claims, boasting that he and Netanyahu are both "war heroes"
According to Politico, U.S. President Trump claims to be a "war hero" for ordering airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, and asserts that he is also a war hero for "working together" with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, emphasizing that "I ordered those planes." It is speculated that he is referring to the June decision to strike Iran's underground nuclear facilities.
However, Trump has never served in the military and has never participated in actual military conflicts. During the Vietnam War, at the age of 22, he delayed his service five times due to heel spurs, among other medical reasons.
Trump's remarks have drawn widespread criticism, particularly when reflecting on his past comments about the military, making it even more absurd. In 2015, he called Senator McCain, who was imprisoned for more than five years, "not a war hero" simply because he "likes people who weren't captured"; in 2020, The Atlantic reported that he privately referred to fallen soldiers as "losers" and "suckers," although he vehemently denied it.
