Poland Rules Out Sending Troops to Ukraine — Government Reaffirms Official Position.

Poland has officially denied reports suggesting it may deploy troops to Ukraine after the war. Government spokesman Adam Szłapka stated on August 19, 2025:

“Poland will not be sending its troops to Ukraine. We urge everyone not to spread false information.”

Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Warsaw’s role will remain focused on logistical, infrastructural, and training support, while ensuring the protection of Poland’s own borders and strengthening NATO’s eastern flank.

Importantly, officials stressed that sending Polish forces could escalate risks and fuel Russian propaganda — but no deployment is planned under any scenario.
