If every app could spin up its own rollup, would we end up with fragmentation or specialization?

Caldera’s RaaS (Rollup-as-a-Service) lets teams launch tailored rollups quickly — custom runtimes, DA options, and interop. That enables specialization (gaming rollups, social rollups) but also risks UX fragmentation (users juggling many tokens and rollup identities). The network’s success depends on seamless wallet UX, standard messaging APIs, and predictable fee economics across rollups. Recent EigenDA V2 integration boosts throughput (100 MB/s data throughput), which addresses a major pain point for rollup cost. My advice: Caldera must make cross-rollup wallets and single-identity flows frictionless; otherwise, fragmentation will kill adoption. If they do it, the web becomes an Internet of rollups — each app choosing the tradeoffs it needs. Sources : Cointelegraph , CoinMarketCap
