⏳ The Secret of Timeframes: EMA + RSI Strategy ⏳
Many traders know the basics of EMA and RSI… but the real edge comes when you understand which timeframe to use them on.
Here’s how I break it down 👇
🔹 Daily / 4H (Higher Timeframes) → Trend confirmation
Use EMA20 vs EMA50 to define the main direction of the market.
RSI here helps to spot when the market is overheated globally.
If EMA20 > EMA50 on Daily, you only look for longs on smaller charts.
🔹 1H / 15m (Medium Timeframes) → Entry precision
This is where you hunt for actual entries.
Example: On 4H trend is up → Wait for RSI on 1H to dip below 40–50, while EMA20 stays above EMA50 → that’s your entry.
🔹 5m / 1m (Lower Timeframes) → Scalping only
Works for short-term traders, but signals are very noisy.
EMA crossovers and RSI extremes can flip fast, so always check with higher timeframes first.
⚡ Golden Rule:
“High timeframe = Trend, Low timeframe = Entry.”
Without confirmation from higher timeframes, lower timeframe signals are just noise.
👀 That’s why many traders lose: they see RSI oversold on 5m and jump in, while the Daily is still in a strong downtrend.
💬 What’s your favorite timeframe combo? I personally use Daily for direction + 1H for entries.
