Can you still play in the crypto world at this point in time?
As an 'old investor' who has been in the crypto world since 2015, I want to share the most genuine thoughts on the state of the crypto world in 2025 and what you should do.
1. The crypto world is still playable, but it is no longer the era of 'blindly getting rich'
Let me give you a conclusion:
The crypto world is still feasible, but it is not an era where everyone gets rich; it is an era of differentiation.
To put it bluntly, the gap between those who can make money and those who cannot is widening. The days when you could blindly buy Shiba, APE, or Dogecoin and see returns are basically over. Now, to make money, you need to rely on information asymmetry, strategy, and execution.
Why is this the case?
Because the market has shifted from being 'retail-driven' to institutional participation and capital games.
Therefore, if you want to use the 'strategies from the previous bull market' to participate in the current market, it's basically impossible.
2. Whether you can make money actually depends on your mindset
You might think that the crypto world is about vision, but the key is: mindset + rhythm control ability.
The consensus among veteran investors has three points:
Do not aim to make money in the last segment; do not be greedy in the first segment: the key is to eat meat in the middle;
Fluctuation is the norm, and explosive growth is occasional: real opportunities are 'guarded' rather than 'rushed';
Do not be swayed by FOMO emotions: every time you see someone getting rich, it might be the result of years of preparation behind the scenes.
3. In fact, opportunities still exist, but the crypto world has long changed,
The crypto world is not unplayable; it has transformed from a 'get-rich-quick grassland' to a 'master competition arena'.
If you still approach today's market with the mindset of 2019 or 2021, you will only suffer more.
However, if you are willing to calm down, study, build strategies, and optimize your understanding, the crypto world still offers the most potential investment returns.
Final advice:
Do not heavily bet on one position, do not easily trust KOLs, and do not chase highs and sell lows;
Learn more about on-chain operations and learn to analyze data yourself;
Most importantly: it is not about chasing trends, but about maintaining position control; surviving is more important than anything else.
May you not just 'come in to take a look' in the crypto world, but live, make money, and become stronger.
