Unusual cryptocurrency movements in Brazil trigger alert at the Central Bank. #MarketPullback

The Central Bank issued a security alert on Sunday night to the main associations that gather institutions from the Brazilian financial system. The unprecedented notice draws attention to unusual activity involving the Tether stablecoin (USDT), widely used in cryptocurrency operations in the country.#StrategyBTCPurchase

The episode occurs just over a month after the largest cyber attack ever recorded against companies linked to the infrastructure of Pix, which resulted in billion-dollar losses.#BTC

According to the document, technicians from the Central Bank identified abnormal searches by clients and intermediaries for operations in USDT, especially in contexts related to payments and transactions in cryptocurrency exchanges.

This pattern, according to the regulatory body, has previously indicated preparations for cyber attacks.

A similar case occurred in July when hackers targeted the company C&M Software after similar signs of seeking crypto assets and opening suspicious accounts.
