Tutorial: How to Restake ETH with Kelp and Get rsETH

New to KernelDAO? Let’s walk through how you can use Kelp, the liquid restaking protocol, to earn more rewards while keeping your ETH liquid.

🔹 Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet

• Install a Web3 wallet like MetaMask.

• Fund it with ETH (or supported LSTs like stETH, cbETH, rETH).

🔹 Step 2: Visit the Official Kelp App

• Go to 👉 https://kelpdao.xyz

• Click Connect Wallet and choose your wallet provider.

🔹 Step 3: Deposit ETH or LSTs

• Select Restake on the dashboard.

• Choose ETH or a liquid staking token.

• Enter the amount and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

🔹 Step 4: Receive rsETH

• After confirmation, you’ll automatically receive rsETH.

• This represents your restaked ETH, which continues earning rewards while staying liquid.

🔹 Step 5: Put rsETH to Work

• Use rsETH across DeFi protocols:

• Supply it on lending platforms.

• Pair it in liquidity pools.

• Use as collateral while still earning restaking rewards.

🔹 Step 6: Track & Redeem

• Return to the Kelp dashboard anytime to check your position.

• When ready, redeem rsETH back to ETH (note: unbonding periods may apply).

✅ Why use Kelp?

✔️ Earn extra rewards (staking + restaking)

✔️ Stay liquid with rsETH in DeFi

✔️ Security-first with audits + bug bounty program

💡 Pro Tip: Once you’re comfortable with rsETH, explore Gain Vaults for boosted strategies like airdrop farming (agETH) or high-growth (hgETH).
