Since the launch of WalletConnect, it has evolved from a chain wallet connection tool to a core cornerstone of Web3 user experience (UX).
In the past, users were often hindered by compatibility issues between mobile wallets and desktop DApps, but WalletConnect has packaged the complete on-chain signing process through a single QR code scan or deep link, allowing users to authorize using their mobile phones. Its communication layer, composed of gateway nodes and relay nodes, is highly decentralized, ensuring stability in high concurrency usage scenarios.
Community data shows that as of 2024, WalletConnect has supported over 250 million connections, covering more than 40 million unique wallets, with daily active users continuously rising. Both wallet and application developers rely on its rapid integration capabilities. Whether it's claiming Airdrops, minting NFTs, conducting DeFi transactions, or participating in DAO voting, WalletConnect has become the protocol with the strongest sense of “connection.”
Recently, the team also launched Web3Inbox—a protocol-level notification center, equipped with the Web3Inbox SDK to provide wallets with transparent notification capabilities, allowing users to manage project messages in one place. This is precisely WalletConnect’s gradual practice of building a complete ecosystem for Web3 scenarios.
In the future, it will open empowerment channels for the on-chain governance token WCT, including node operation participation, protocol governance, and tokenized revenue distribution. WalletConnect is stepping out of the “connection tool” framework and steadily evolving towards “UX infrastructure.” #WalletConnect @WalletConnect $WCT
