The Tron network has benefited from the regulatory shift of cryptocurrencies in the United States, with ambitions to go public through a reverse merger in that country.

In June, the toy manufacturer SRM Entertainment announced that it would change its name to Tron Inc. and adopt a treasury strategy focused on TRX with Tron founder Justin Sun as an advisor.

Following the announcement, Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, denied his participation in the Tron public offering but said, "I am the biggest fan of Tron" and added that he admires Sun and considers him a "great friend and icon in the cryptocurrency space."

The native token of Tron, TRX, increased by 166% after the U.S. elections in November, reaching an all-time high of $0.43 in early December 2024, although the movement was short-lived.

The asset has been on a strong bullish trend for most of this year, surpassing its peak from the 2021 market cycle, gaining 37% so far this year and currently trading at $0.349,
