Thailand launches TouristDigiPay service for tourists

Thailand begins an 18-month pilot project in the fourth quarter of 2025 that allows tourists to convert their digital currencies into Thai Baht for payment via QR code. Merchants receive payments in Baht only, which reduces the risks of price volatility, and this is under the supervision of the Bank of Thailand and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
