Bo Hines, Executive Director of the White House Crypto Council, will be leaving to return to the private sector. Subsequently, the stablecoin issuer Tether announced the appointment of Bo Hines as a strategic advisor on digital assets and U.S. strategy.
Bo Hines graduated from Yale University and Wake Forest University School of Law. In 2025, he was appointed by Trump as the Executive Director of the President's Advisory Council on Digital Assets, during which time he became the primary point of contact between the crypto industry and the White House, actively promoting policy formulation and implementation to gain more voice and support for the cryptocurrency industry.
Tether is a pioneer in stablecoin technology, and its issued USDT is one of the largest and most liquid stablecoins in the world by market capitalization.
