Did you know there is a fascinating tool that I am exploring and that has blown my mind with its simplicity and usefulness: Bubblemaps.🫧

If you have ever tried to analyze the tokens of a crypto project or understand who has what on the blockchain, you know how complicated it can be. Block explorers are great, but sometimes you need a clearer and more visual perspective. That's where Bubblemaps comes in.

What does Bubblemaps do?

Imagine that each wallet is a bubble and its size represents the amount of tokens it holds. Bubblemaps takes all that data and organizes it visually. The bubbles are grouped when the wallets are connected, meaning when tokens are sent between each other. This allows you to see at a glance:

🟣 Distribution: Are the tokens in the hands of a few or are they well distributed?

Connections: Are there large investors or even the project team moving tokens between their own wallets? This can be a red flag.

🟣 Whales: Who are the large holders and how do they interact with the rest of the ecosystem?

It's as if the blockchain, which is a giant ledger, suddenly turned into a map with colors and shapes that tell you a story.

My experience

Recently, I used Bubblemaps to research a new token and it was incredibly revealing. I could immediately see that most of the tokens were concentrated in a few wallets that were moving among themselves. Thanks to that visualization, I was able to make a more informed decision before investing.

It's not a crystal ball, but it is a powerful tool to add to your analysis kit. If you are interested in transparency in the crypto world, I recommend you take a look.

Have you used Bubblemaps or any similar tool? I would love to read your experiences.
