Speed milestone on Solana 🚀

Solana ($SOL ) briefly managed to exceed 100,000 transactions per second (TPS), becoming the first major blockchain to record this mark on its mainnet.

Although most of the transactions were for testing, a developer on the network suggested that this performance demonstrates that Solana could theoretically handle between 80,000 and 100,000 TPS of real transactions.

Despite its actual TPS being much lower currently (around 1,000), this achievement highlights the network's potential for high-speed performance in the future.
