🇭🇰 The first Chinese bank has started trading cryptocurrency
🚀 A subsidiary of China Merchants Bank (CMB) – one of China's leading banks – is launching a cryptocurrency exchange for professional investors in Hong Kong.
✅ Earlier, in mid-July, the Hong Kong regulator approved the bank's application for a virtual asset service provider license.
In mainland China, such activities by CMB would be illegal, but Hong Kong enjoys relative freedom and is trying to become one of the crypto hubs in Asia.
