CoinVoice has recently learned that the renowned Scottish distillery Bowmore has partnered with the Layer 1 platform Avalanche to launch the first whiskey NFT series. This series is scheduled to be released on September 30 during TOKEN2049 in Singapore and is now available for pre-sale.
The project uses Avalanche C Chain technology to generate corresponding NFTs for each independently numbered whiskey bottle, achieving on-chain binding between physical assets and digital certificates. The initial product includes two versions:
The collector's edition is priced at $5,500, limited to 8 sets, and includes 30-year aged Bowmore whiskey and custom barware. Purchasers will receive an exclusive opportunity to meet with Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer.
The classic edition is priced at $180, limited to 150 bottles, and features 12-year aged Bowmore whiskey.
Each bottle of whiskey is equipped with an NFC chip, supporting authenticity verification and on-chain NFT association. Consumers can apply for an NFT through the Suntory official website, which supports both cryptocurrency wallet and traditional email login methods. The physical whiskey will be picked up at the TOKEN2049 event.
Bowmore and Avalanche plan to host an exclusive dinner at Wakuda restaurant in Singapore on September 30, inviting 8 holders of the collector's edition NFT to attend. [Original link]
