Is your account okay today? Scrolling around, I see many posts complaining about the market, accompanied by images of accounts down -99%.
The day I posted my first articles here, I had big dreams. I wanted to help people out there avoid FOMO, avoid getting burned in Futures trading... but after about a year of posting, I realized that what most people are interested in and want to read are the Call order articles. Which coin to buy at what price, where to TP and SL, and so on. And it seems there is little room for those of us who day after day are hoarse telling people not to FOMO, to limit Futures trading, or to learn the basics of technical analysis before stepping into the market... just like me. Every time I post something, there will be a bunch of people coming in to criticize, then shouting to show orders, show accounts.
So I withdrew from this environment, retreating to just talk in a small group, where people have the same frequency as me. Sometimes we spend the whole day without discussing anything related to coins. We don’t shout 'BUY THIS COIN, BUY THAT COIN'. We simply recount how our day has been, what challenges or hardships we faced at work. Occasionally, we glance at the market a bit and then come together to share our perspectives.
Yet, our group is full of people who buy spot holdings from the 'Bottom Zone' until now. People say:
• 'Back in the day, I often went to groups to listen to and read about the market, then watched call orders to buy this or that, so my mentality was always anxious. I had to check charts all day because everyone in those groups was always discussing how the market was going up or down. As a result, I was always anxious and uneasy about the market. Since joining my group, even though there are only a few of us, in the morning we ask each other if we’ve had our coffee yet? At noon, we share our lunch photos, and in the evening, we say we’re busy preparing for a meal. We hardly mention the market, occasionally glancing at it to see how it’s doing, and when there is a price fluctuation, we cheer each other on a bit. Because of that, everyone is still holding coins from the low price range until now without selling.'
At first, I was quite surprised. Because I didn’t think that the group I set up just to chat about random things could help people so much. I often joke in the group that 'I got the title of admin for setting up a group based on coins but spend all day discussing food and sharing stories from our youth 😆'
I share my story here not to boast that we bought coins at the bottom, nor to laugh at those who got burned, because I know our group is just a tiny grain of sand compared to the world out there. Sometimes, our few coins aren’t even worth one trade for others.
I just want to convey our story to everyone. Sometimes, being involved in many groups and discussing coins all day is not necessarily a good thing. Unless you are a professional trader. Trading 24/7 and making a living from it is a different story. But I believe that most of us here have a different main job, and coins or any investment area are just 'side jobs' that we want to earn extra income from.
If it’s just a 'side job', then don’t spend too much time on it. Because it impacts your main job, the job that brings in your main income, the one that sustains you and everyone else daily. Plus, it can lead to excessive worry. Clearly, the goal is to hold coins for 2-3 years, yet you’re looking at 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour candle analyses? Then when the market has slight fluctuations, you spend all day staring at your phone, with your emotions changing with each candle.
Then all day scrolling through groups, seeing people flaunting their futures trades and making money is so tempting, so they start looking for some Call order groups. Money is nowhere to be found, only 'Dead Money' and burned orders due to poor capital management.
Reading this far, I believe you and I are on the same wavelength. You are also someone who wants to learn about crypto in general and financial investment in particular seriously. Perhaps for some reasons, you have not been able to succeed as you wish, but I believe those who are diligent in learning, like you, will definitely succeed one day and achieve what you currently desire.
