How much U do I need to earn to break free from the past?
I was born in the 90s and currently live in Guangzhou.
Eight years ago, I entered the cryptocurrency world for the first time. For the first four years, I was utterly clueless, experiencing liquidation, losing everything, and even encountering a fraudulent exchange; I’ve stumbled into almost every pitfall. Back then, with a principal of 50,000 U, it was gone in a flash. At my lowest point, my girlfriend left me, and I drowned my sorrows in alcohol every day, but I unexpectedly survived the 3·12 crash. Some went bankrupt that day, while others turned their fortunes around.
The absurdity of the market is like this. One can go from 2,000 yuan to millions with just one fierce battle. Meanwhile, I could only endure, relying on repeated reflections and adjusting my mindset. Looking back, my account has reached eight digits.
Many believe this is luck, but I know that without a set of hard rules, I wouldn’t be here today.
I survived, thanks to a seemingly clumsy set of iron rules:
1️⃣ Rapid rise, slow fall = the big players are accumulating.
A rapid surge followed by a slow decline is mostly a false move; the real peak is a sudden drop after a volume increase.
2️⃣ Rapid fall, slow rise = the big players are offloading.
A slow rebound after a flash crash is not a lifeline, but the final blow.
3️⃣ Volume at the peak doesn’t guarantee the end; lack of volume is what’s dangerous.
If there’s volume at a high level, there may be another surge; if there’s silence at a high level, it’s the real eve of collapse.
4️⃣ Don’t rush when there’s volume at the bottom; sustainability is key.
One-time volume is bait; continuous volume is the true starting point.
These insights aren’t taught in books, but earned through repeated liquidations. The cryptocurrency world is like this: there will always be people chasing highs and cutting losses, while others perish on the path of bottom fishing. Hard work isn’t wrong, but if the direction is wrong, it will only lead to deeper pitfalls.
I’ve seen too many people like my past self, eager to break even, only to lose more by being hasty. In reality, the market is always there, but the rhythm waits for no one. Whether you can endure is not dependent on luck, but on iron rules and mindset.
True growth isn’t about running faster; it’s about learning to light a lamp in the darkness.
