BlockBeats news, on August 18, the U.S. listed company BitMine Immersion Technologies announced today that its total cryptocurrency holdings exceed $6.612 billion. As of 11:59 PM Eastern Time on August 17, the company held 1,523,373 ETH (at a unit price of $4,326, data source Bloomberg) and 192 BTC.

BitMine is now the world's largest institutional holder of Ethereum and the second largest institutional holder of cryptocurrency, second only to Strategy Inc (MSTR), which holds 628,900 BTC (worth $74 billion).
