What’s happening in the crypto market today (August 18, 2025)? The global crypto market is sliding. Market capitalization has dropped by around $70 billion, now sitting near $3.85 trillion. $BTC has fallen below $115,000, losing about 2% today. $ETH slipped under $4,400, down about 5–6%, with some analysts even eyeing $3,200 as possible support. Most altcoins are also in the red, though Chainlink stands out with a nearly 9% gain against the broader trend. --- Why is this happening?
