🇺🇸⚓ THE UNITED STATES ARMY IS DEPLOYING MORE THAN 4,000 MARINES AND SAILORS IN CARIBBEAN WATERS TO COMBAT CARTELS

The deployment includes the Iwo Jima Amphibious Group and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit to U.S. Southern Command. It is the largest display of military force in the region in years, giving Trump "a wide range of military options" against drug cartels.

Massive arsenal deployed: a nuclear attack submarine, P-8 Poseidon spy planes, several destroyers, and a guided missile cruiser. Trump designated the Sinaloa Cartel, CJNG, and Tren de Aragua as "global terrorist organizations," authorizing the use of military assets against them.

⚠️ Pentagon officials are concerned: Marines are NOT trained for drug interdiction and will have to rely heavily on the Coast Guard. MEUs are typically used for mass evacuations, not for combating drug trafficking.

The Southern Caribbean has become a key transit zone for cocaine, heroin, and synthetic drugs to the U.S. and Europe. The administration accuses Maduro's Venezuela of protecting drug trafficking networks, with a $50 million reward for his capture.

🇲🇽 Mexico has already expressed its opposition to these unilateral actions, warning of possible direct intervention. Trump previously offered to send troops to Mexico to combat drug trafficking - an offer that Mexico rejected. The war against the cartels is being militarized.
