U.S. President Donald Trump said that Ukraine and Russia might talk about swapping land during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska later today. But he made it clear that only Ukraine can decide what happens.
While speaking to reporters on Air Force One on the way to Anchorage, Trump said, “I’m not here to make deals for Ukraine.” He wants to help Ukraine and Russia start talking to each other. He also mentioned that protecting Ukraine might involve help from European countries and others, but didn’t give more details.
