Cryptocurrency exchange Bullish (Stock Code: BLSH) went public on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, attracting a significant investment from Ark Invest, led by 'Female Stock God' Cathie Wood, which invested $172 million in stocks and diversified its investment across three ETFs.
According to Ark Invest's latest disclosure, the 'ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK)' bought approximately 1.7 million shares of Bullish on Wednesday; the 'ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW)' purchased 545,000 shares; and the 'ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF)' acquired 272,000 shares.
Bullish had an impressive debut on Wednesday, with its stock price soaring by 83.8%, closing at $68, well above the IPO price of $37, and rising another 11.2% in after-hours trading. (Blockchain Client) reported yesterday (13) that the company raised a total of $1.1 billion in this IPO.
Bullish's IPO pricing exceeded the initially estimated range of $32 to $33. This cryptocurrency exchange, backed by Silicon Valley billionaire and tech investor Peter Thiel, stated that the funds raised will be used for general operations and working capital, with some reserved for future mergers and acquisitions.
