Who is #YBTC ? Why is it 'Yield' #BTC represents
YBTC is a usable asset after mapping locked BTC on L1 to Bitlayer ecosystem through the BitVM-style cross-chain bridge of #Bitlayer ; in L2 and cross-chain scenarios, YBTC can participate in market-making, lending, and various strategies, striving for on-chain yields while maintaining exposure to BTC price risks (actual annualized returns depend on various protocols). The underlying design philosophy is to give BTC programmability and composability using Rollup + BitVM without altering Bitcoin L1.

If you are new to the crypto space like me, what should you pay attention to before Minting:
1. Start small: go through the minting/redeeming process first.
2. Check official entry points and contract addresses, beware of phishing pages.
3. Split position management: observe 'native L2 yield' and 'cross-chain treasury' separately to avoid single points of failure affecting the overall situation.
4. Gradually increase positions: clearly understand costs, slippage, liquidation thresholds, and actual annualized returns before scaling up.
If you could only pick one application, what would you use YBTC for? (Market-making / Lending / Yield Aggregation / Other, leave a comment about your approach)
