According to Foresight News, Mustafa Al Niama, the former head of Goldman Sachs' Americas digital assets division, is set to join Sui blockchain developer Mysten Labs as the head of capital markets. Al Niama aims to facilitate collaborations between the cryptocurrency company and major financial institutions.
Al Niama's career includes a four-year tenure at American Express before joining Goldman Sachs in 2015, where he eventually became the regional head of the digital assets division. One of his notable achievements was leading the initiative for a tokenized money market fund, announced in collaboration with BNY Mellon in July.
