Crypto Market Hits Record $4.2 Trillion as #Ethereum , #Solana , and #Cardano Lead Altcoin Surge

The cryptocurrency market is roaring back to life, smashing through previous records to reach a staggering $4.2 trillion in total market capitalization, according to the latest CoinGecko data. This represents a 3% gain in just the last 24 hours—and marks a new all-time high for the digital asset space.

Investor enthusiasm is surging, with daily trading volume jumping 25.73% to $239.35 billion, signaling fresh inflows of capital across the sector. Even privacy coin #Monero (XMR), which suffered a steep drop yesterday amid fears of a 51% network attack, has joined the rally and turned green.

While #Bitcoin (BTC) continues to dominate headlines by once again trading above $120,000, this latest rally is increasingly being defined by altcoin strength. The Altcoin Season Index from CoinMarketCap has risen to 39, up from 29 last month, pointing to an early-stage rotation away from Bitcoin dominance into high-potential alternative cryptocurrencies.

And among those alternatives, Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano are capturing the lion’s share of attention.

Ethereum (ETH) Nears All-Time High as Corporate Buying Accelerates

Ethereum is having its strongest performance in years, climbing 6% in the past 24 hours and now trading just shy of its $4,878 all-time high from November 2021.

Driving this rally is a wave of corporate accumulation. Publicly traded companies, including Consensys-linked Sharplink and Tom Lee’s BitMine, have announced substantial ETH purchases, sparking comparisons to Bitcoin’s corporate treasury adoption phase.

The momentum is spilling over into prediction markets. On Myriad, a decentralized forecasting platform developed by Decrypt’s parent company Dastan, traders now place 87% odds that ETH will hit $5,000 before year’s end—up sharply from even odds just a week ago. Another Myriad market shows nearly 80% of traders expect ETH to hit $5,000 before falling back to $3,500, underscoring bullish conviction.
