In recent days, Ethereum has shown signs of 'taking off': it surpassed the 4,000 USD mark and today trades close to 4,700 USD, mainly driven by institutional purchases and the push towards the approval of ETH ETFs in the U.S. Large firms like Standard Chartered already project that ETH could reach 7,500 USD by the end of 2025 and up to 25,000 USD by 2028.
Its all-time high is around 4,878 USD, so while it is approaching, it has not yet surpassed it.
As for its current size, Ethereum maintains a market capitalization of approximately 566.7 billion USD, with a circulating supply of about 120.7 million ETH. This reaffirms it as the second-largest cryptocurrency in the crypto ecosystem, with a strong position both in value and technological infrastructure.
