1. Solving Bitcoin’s Problems
Bitcoin has long struggled with slow transactions and limited capacity. Bitlayer helps fix this using two technologies:
Sidechains: Separate chains connected to Bitcoin to handle more activity.
ZK (Zero-Knowledge Proofs): A way to speed up transactions while keeping them secure.
Together, these help Bitlayer process over 10,000 transactions per second, much faster than Bitcoin or Ethereum, and for a much lower fee (about 1% of Ethereum’s fees). This makes it possible to run apps like DeFi (decentralized finance) and NFTs on Bitcoin.
