🇯🇵 FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WORLD WAR II, JAPAN IDENTIFIES CHINA AS ITS GREATEST THREAT

Japan's new Defense Report 2025 holds nothing back: China is "the greatest unprecedented strategic challenge" to Japanese security. The document warns that the world faces its greatest risk of conflict since 1945.

🚢 The data is alarming: Chinese warships passing between the Okinawa islands TRIPLED between 2021 and 2024. For the first time in history, Chinese military aircraft violated Japanese airspace. A Chinese aircraft carrier entered waters near Japanese territory.

🤝 The China-Russia alliance sets off all alarm bells. Joint bombers, coordinated naval patrols near Japan, and what the report calls "the Axis of Agitation" (CRINK: China, Russia, Iran, North Korea). "A serious and evolving threat to regional stability," says the document.

Taiwan is the obsession: the military balance is "shifting rapidly in favor of China." Japan fears that Beijing will use naval blockades and "gray zone" tactics (coercion without declared war) to take the island. If Taiwan falls, Japan would be next.

💴 The Japanese response: to double the defense budget to $310 billion by 2027, long-range Tomahawk missiles on its southern islands, and deepen the alliance with the United States. For the first time since 1945, Japan is seriously rearming.
